Founder & Consultant Mechanical Engineer
Dale is the founder and technical director of Form Lab, with over 18 years of experience designing and engineering innovative products across commercial space, defence, medical, automotive, and renewable sectors. His work has supported everything from the OneWeb satellite constellation to cutting-edge diagnostics and clean-tech breakthroughs.
A passionate advocate for science, technology and sustainable design, Dale combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative mindset. He’s an associate member of the IMechE, a STEM ambassador, and an AI Tech North ambassador, with a strong academic background in AI-driven design optimisation for high-value manufacturing.
Whether tackling a complex thermal challenge in aerospace or helping a start-up visualise their first product, Dale brings a rare mix of rigour and creativity to the table. His approach is rooted in curiosity, a hands-on understanding of advanced simulation and prototyping tools, and a drive to create solutions that make a positive impact.
He thrives in environments where ideas flow freely and values the opportunity to connect and collaborate with likeminded individuals working on ambitious, technically demanding challenges.
