To offer the best quality, accuracy and productivity, Form Lab relies heavily on Computer Aided Design & Drafting (#CADD) software. By leveraging CADD we're able to create parametric designs that can quickly & efficiently be adapted based on development or production needs whilst maintaining revision control to provide an auditable history of changes.

This level of control management allows changes to be implemented in real-time, reducing development lifecycles and ultimately overall project costs.

We understand not every problem can be resolved with the same broad-brush approach. We work with our clients to fully understand their requirements before selecting an appropriate response to their need.

We wouldn't recommend using volume production methods & tools for a bespoke / one-off part. Subsequently we wouldn't attempt to provide detailed manufacturing files using tools not up to the job or without following the correct production approval process. We're able to work at both ends of the scale and will always aim to provide a measured solution that best meets your requirements today, and beyond tomorrow...


We're expert operators of many CADD packages including Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor & Autodesk Fusion. We're also proficient with other popular packages including such as AutoDesk AutoCAD, PTC Creo, Siemens Solid Edge, as well as emerging packages such OnShape.

Rendering & Animation


Computer rendering allows us to generate photorealistic images of products and super helpful animations to convey a products design, features and uses. 




A great picture is worth a thousand words. At Form Lab, we can generate extremely accurate visuals of your products, from individual parts to functioning assemblies. They function as support for your development project to explain design intent before without committing to multiple prototypes or costly 'looks like' or 'works like' crafted models.

From our experience, these images are great for communicating your intentions to stakeholders without a technical background, who will more engaged with a vision of the finished product.
